Feel Unique Beauty Box

Hello...Good Morning/Afternoon or even Evening 😀

It has been a very long time since I even wrote a blog post but I am trying to get back into it and today I really felt like taking the blog pics and getting a bit creative. I have also been working on my Christmas stock for my Etsy shop (I know...... Christmas already?) 😅

Todays blog post is about the new and improved Feel Unique Beauty Box. I avidly always ordered the deluxe beauty samples every month prior where you receive the clear pouch and 5 samples of your choice but the new improved service allows you to have either order a one of purchase or subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months which will work out cheaper the longer period you have it over.

The sample also now come with the cutest drawstring bag which is so handy and also with this one you can opt out of the bag each time which saves on the piles of unused bags/pouches like the previous service.

Lets get into what I choose.......

I will always see what perfumes are available first because lets face it they are the best kind of samples. I first chose the new Ghost Orb of the Night Parfum 10ml. This is a very good size, I have had the ghost samples before in this size and they last ages and are perfect for your handbag. I love this fragrance, it's a very deep musky fragrance which is perfect for the Autumn/Winter months coming up.

I also chose the Nuxe Prodigieux Le Parfum Floral 15ml. I have never tried a Nuxe fragrance before, I love their skincare range and scents within that so was eager to give this one a go. I have to say I do quite like it, it is more of a Spring/Summer fragrance because it is quite light and floraly so perfect to use over the next few weeks.

I am the worst at remembering to use heat protection on my hair before I straighten it. I always get lazy and just think "ah I'll do it next time" and then a year has past and I have never used it. So I chose the Bed Head Some Like it Hot Heat Protection Spray. I have always loved a Bed Head product and can't wait to give this a go, I did spray it in my hair just to see what it smells like and the verdict is.......it smells delightful 😀

I love a good pamper and what is a pamper without undereye gels pads. I always go for the gel pads under my eyes because for me they just feel so much better than the sheet sort of pads. I chose the Gatineau Collagene Expert Ultimate Smoothing Eye Pads. They come with 2 sets of 2 so you have 2 usages which I think is amazing for a sample. I will be using a set tonight and will report back either on here or over on my twitter - @natashasnailsuk

Last but not least the ever so faithful Invisibobble! I always use the standard Invisibobbles because they hold your hair in place whichout that droop throughout the day and they don't damage your hair. I loved the look of this one, it is a soft scrunchie with the famous Invisibobble inside so still works the same way 😀

So that is what I chose this month! I will 100% be having a look next month and seeign what lovely samples I can choose from 😊

Have you tried the new beauty box service? Or will you have a look at them?

Thank you for reading as always.

My Most Highly Recommended Sleep Sprays

Hello and welcome back to my blog 😊

Following on from my last blog post I'm going to do a quick run down of my favourite sleep/pillow sprays to help get a good nights sleep and relax.

First things first invest in a very good eye mask to keep out any light and relax.

I always have a sleep spray for birthdays/christmas present, everyone who know me knows I go through these like no business. The best ones are the ones that contain a good amount of lavendar and chamomile.

The favourite brands are Champneys, Sanctuary Spa, Happy Place, Body Shop and This Works. You can get cheaper versions but honestly they don't work as well and it's something you really need to invest in. I notice the difference in the morning if I haven't used it and by using it I get such a long deep sleep which then helps with anxiety as I am one of those people who need a really good long sleep to function and even feel like myself the next day.

Do you have any sleep/pillow spray recommendations?

Thank you for reading. 😊

Dealing with Anxiety and Panic Attacks during a Pandemic!!!

Good Morning/Afternoon & Evening for whatever time of the day you are reading this 😊

Happy New Year (I know it's a few weeks late) hope everyones well and dealing as best as you can with the current pandemic! 😶

I haven't wrote a blog post in what feels like forever for one thing and another but felt it was time to get typing not only because I actually have the motivation but I feel like it will help with my mental health.

If you've read my blog for a while you know I have ups and downs with my mental health and have done for over 10 years now. In 2019 it actually really improved but after a very rubbish end to that year by bein made redundant from my first job of 8 and a half years it was safe to say my mental health had slipped a bit. So 2020 started by looking for a new job which luckily I within a couple of weeks and I am still working now but then we were all hit with the lockdown and we all know what happened from there. I am someone of routine and likes to know what I'm doing and where I'm going. So not being able to the normal things I'm used to has really affected me as well as not being able to see anyone.

Im going to be honest I can easily cover up how I'm feeling until it gets too much and the cracks start to show. I'm having more bad days now than good days not so much in terms of feeling anxious but I have more physical symptoms such as tiredness, lazyness, stomach upset and skin problems. I think for me these are actually worse because they make me feel all the more anxious and I get stuck in a cycle!!

I have found so many different things that work but then when I have another cycle of anxiety attacks the same things don't seem to work anymore. The one thing I have found that works for me is CBD Oil. I was very sceptical about using this at first but I've been using it for around 7 months now and I can 100% see the difference, it takes the edge of the anxiety but it also helps really well with PMS or PMDD. If you have really bad depression or bouts of feeling down around your cycle I highly recommend this. I was having moments where I have never felt so sad in my life for no reason at all but sicne using this it has been no where near as bad at all and it also really helps with period cramps. I used to have them so bad I couldn't walk or literally wanted to just cry all the time and it's helped improve them so much. (Click here to read more about "The Truth about that time of the month)

I buy mine from Holland and Barrett which is the double strength version and also so I know it's safe and from a verified supplier.

I think it's a time to really look after yourself and enjoy the small things like having a nice hot bath or enjoying a good book with a hot chocolate. Even writing one positive thing about your day in a notebook each day to reflect on.

It's not easy and I'm the first to admit that just start by day to day and then make little things to look forward to at the weekend. Like watching a film or having a pamper! I look forward to just simply walking to the shop on a Saturday morning simply for something to do and gets loads of snacks! 😊

Luckily I fill most of my week days by working so I still have that weekend feeling but it's obviously not the same as it used to be and we have to hold on to the hope that one day it will.

I'm going to try and post some helpful blog posts with some fun things in between to hopefully take you away even if it is for 5 or 10 minutes of your day.

Thank you for reading and my next blog post will be my all time favourite and highly recommended sleep sprays 😊

Nip + Fab Salicylic Fix Range Part 3

Yes you saw it right.... Part 3!!!

If you've read my other 2 posts previously you will know how much I loved this range and I still continue to use it to this very day. Recently I saw they had some new products in the range and I stopped watching the repeat of  Friends on TV that I had seen a million times and made an order. Luckily at the time of order I found a 40% discount which was even better.

I have had these for a couple of weeks now and have used them consistantly to get a good taste for the product.

There are a few products in the new range, I ordered the three above and picked up the blemish lotion today (I will review this after using it a few weeks)

As the other products in the range, these contain salicylic acid which is one of the main ingredients you will find in any product to fight spots.

Salicylic Fix Spot Patches - The box contains 3 sheets of 10 stickers (2 sizes on each sheet) I have used spot patches before from other brands so I knew the deal. You put the clear sticker over the spot/blemish at night and leave on until the morning. Luckily (I say that lightly) I had a lovely spot appear... you know one of those painful hormonal ones so I stuck the sticker on and waited until the morning. I was very impressed with what I saw. It had near enough gone flat and the redness was reduced. I honestly couldn't believe the difference.

Salicylic Fix Clay Mask - I was so happy to see that they have released a face mask in the range. I love a clay mask and knew this would be incredible. I have used this every 3-4 days and my skin feels so soft and smooth and any redness/scaring has reduced. The tub is quite big aswell so you get many applications for each tub.

Salicylic Fix Moisturiser - I always thought this range needed a moisturiser and my prays have been answered. It everything a expected and more, as with the face mask it smooths my skin and reduces redness especially when I wake up in the morning after it has absorbs into my skin.

Have you tried anything from this range or are you planning on?

I left my previous posts below and their website for more info and other products 😊

Thank you for reading as always 😘

Real Talk...... "That Time of the Month"

This isn't a "normal" post for me but lets be honest "That time of the month" isn't something we truthfully talk about and I would have loved something to read and even just to reassure me that what I was going through was "normal" and other women were going through it. I want this to be a space where we can share tips and advice to make these times better and easier.

As a teenager I always thought "Periods aren't bad I don't understand why people say they are"

Well....I was wrong! My teenage years and even into my early twenties I never had a problem, not one cramp, headache or slight symptom that anything was happening apart from having to use sanitary products. From the age of 22 my symptoms appeared out of nowhere like a huge spider running from underneath your sofa!!

You would never know by looking at me that I have had to deal with this every month and there are hundreds of thousands of women doing the same!

I have grown to deal with it better because I know what to expect but it's still something I dread each month!

Each month I have the following:
  • Horrendous cramping to the point where I can't walk, sleep, nearly passing out and just sitting at my desk to work is a task.
  • Feeling really sick out of the blue.
  • Wanting to cry at everything (I mean everything including dropping a make up sponge on the floor....yes that did happen!!!)
  • Change in bowel movements... this is probably the worse one!
  • Not wanting to talk to anyone about anything.
  • Temperature increase that feels like 1 billion degrees (not great for those heatwave days)
  • Bloating where I literally have to wear a different size trouser 😅
The one thing I did want to mention is that I recently discovered the Be You period patches. I have tried numerous things to ease cramping including heat patches, microwave hotties, oils etc but nothing has compared to these. They are a thin strip which you either stick to your lower back or abdomen. They contain Menthol and Eucalyptus Oil (they smell like olbas oil) and ease pain within minutes to the point where last month I hardly felt anything!!!! They are so discreet and have a slight cooling effect 😊

I also use the CLUE app religiously to keep track of every single change in the body during the whole month. It helps because I can look back and see if there is a pattern each month with the same symptoms.

It's not just that time of the month but also a few days during ovulation, I have cramps and bloating.

I basically wanted to write this post to help all the women/girls out there that google their symptom every month like I do to make sure that everything is ok and normal. I just wished I had something to read and put my mind at ease when I started having these issues because it is normal and not a lot of people talk about it and it seems to be an "embarrasing" subject!

If you have any advice or products to use to even try reduce the impact of this each month please leave a comment below for everyone to read 😘

Thank you for reading.

Feel Unique Beauty Kit

Welcome back to "All Things Natasha" 😊

I don't know about you but I love trying beauty products in the hope of finding something I absolutely love 😍 When I discovered Feel Uniques Beauty Kit a few months ago, I was sold! This is my third one now and the idea and concept behind it is amazing!

You get to choose 5 deluxe samples which may I add...are really good sizes. All you pay is £12.95 plus £3.95 shipping (you receive a gift voucher code for the shipping back when your parcel is despatched) It also includes a free pouch to use. The pouch itself is so nice. It is clear which is perfect for planes or in your handbag and has a faux blush pink leather trim which is so soft! It is completely bespoke and personalised to you!!!

These are the beauty products I chose 😊

Co Lab Dry Shampoo (Unicorn Scent) - This is a really good size at 50ml. Perfect for travel or popping into your handbag.

Moroccan Hair Oil - I have always wanted to try this hair oil, I've heard so many good things about it.

Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Face Mask - I think I've tried this before but can't remember. I think I could get three uses out of this sample so brilliant size to see if it's worth it 😊

Burts Bees Night Cream - I have 100% had this before, I think I had it in one of the Feel Unique Free Gifts you get when you spend a certain about and I loved it. I just wanted try it again, I use it when my skin is feeling a bit dry because it contains Royal Jelly which is very moisuturising.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Mini Perfume - How cute is this mini bottle of perfume?!? I love deluxe perfume samples because you can really get an idea if you want to buy the full size one rather than the little 1ml samples you can get.

The choice of samples is amazing ranging from skincare, makeup, haircare and fragrances. It's perfect to try more high end products without buying the full size products. You can only do this once a month which is the same as their standard sample service.

Have you tried the beauty kit yet?

Thank you for reading 😘

My Top Products for a Good Nights Sleep

Good Morning and Happy Sunday 😀

Hope you're having a good weekend!

I find that the most important thing for me to even get started in the morning is to have had a good nights sleep. If I don't then don't bother talk to me and expect me not to be productive ha! 😂 I try to go to bed around 10.30pm and get up around 7.15am for work so I get a good few hours sleep!

I have found the perfect products and even a couple of apps for the perfect nights sleep 😊

Megrhythm Eye Mask Lavender - £6.99 for a Pack of 5

I can't recommend this product enough. The eye mask warms up to approximately 40˚c with a soothing lavender scent being released. It relieves tension and relaxes you so much. The eye mask fits perfectly over the eyes and is so comfortable around the ears. I nearly fall asleep wearing this, it's that relaxing! I use this with a meditation app called Headspace (more on that later) 😊

Garnier Night Time Eye Mask - £2.99

This works a similar way as the one above but is a cooling sensation. It is very hydrating for the area around your eyes and definitely helps with those pesky dark circles under the eyes.

Dove Derma Spa Beauty Sleep Balm - £9.99

This is a must not just for super soft skin but for a good nights sleep. It is a very thick balm and smells incredible! Lavender is such a relaxing scent and perfect for when your snuggled up in bed and drifting asleep. It also renews skin from day 1 of using it so it is perfect for your elbows, knees and any other of those places you find more dry or that need just that little bit of extra love. I always apply it to my arms and neck so I can smell it when I'm asleep.

The Body Shop French Lavender Pillow Mist - £15.00

If you know me you would know I love a good pillow mist. I have this one for my birthday and I absolutely love it. It actually smells like I am in a field of lavender, it is so authentic! I 100% notice the difference in my night sleep if I don't use this. I fall asleep with 15 minutes easily and it relaxs me so much and it actually takes away some of the anxiety/stress from throughout the day.

Now onto the apps I've been using....

Headspace

Headspace is probably my favourite app of all time. It has loads of different sessions from anxiety, sleep, stress and even sessions for pregnancy. I use the basics one everyday which is suited for everyone. You can choose your time frame either 5, 10 or 15 mins so if you're short for time of just want a shorter session you can. It is narrated by the most relaxing voice which is of Andy Puddicombe the creator of Headspace. You can try the app for free to see if it for you 😊

Doze

I not 100% sure but I think this is only for Android, but it is so simple and just has relaxing music from piano, storms, rainfall and ambient that play on repeat. There's not much to say about it apart from it is very relaxing. 😊

So those are my top tips for trying to get a nice relaxing nights sleep.

What do you recommend?

Thank you for reading as always.

My Top Favourite Hand Creams

Good Afternoon 😀

Hope you're all well 😘

I don't know about you but my hands have gone so dry lately from all the hand washing and hand sanitiser I'm using. There is only one solution for that and that is a very good hand cream!!

I have quite the collection of hand creams, mainly from the obsurd amount I got in beauty advent calendars over the years 😅

I have narrowed it down to my favourite few just for you 😊

The Body Shop

I think everyone at some point has had a Body Shop hand cream. I have quite a few, I'm the sort of person that finds a scent I like so have to get the hand cream for it 😅 I'm currently loving the Moringa scent and I love the Juicy Pear scent from their last Christmas range. Their hand creams are very moisturising and soak into my hands so quickly so theres's no waiting around for it to dry. I'm also a fan of the metal tubes because you can easily get all of the product out when it gets a bit more empty.

Mad Beauty Banana

I'm going to be honest I was sold this on the shape and look of the tube 😅 I thought it was so cute! Surprisingly it doesn't actually smell of bananas 😉 It just has that general hand cream smell, kind of like the Nivea standard scent. It is very moisturising and definitely feels like your hands have had a drink 😊

Flying Tiger Lavender

Yes you saw it right.....The Flying Tiger!! Hand cream is the last thing I would think to buy from there but I was intrigued by the Lavendar scent. I use this at night before I go to bed because the lavendar scent is so relaxing and calming.

L'Occitane

I think everyone would agree that if you have used a L'Occitane hand cream it is a piece of luxury. They have a wide variety of different scents, consistency and tube sizes. Again I love the lavender one and the cherry blossom scent. They are very moisturising and I can tell the difference in my skin instantly. They are 100% worth the price.

Ted Baker

It goes without saying that the Ted Baker hand creams smell absolutely divine! They are the perfect size for your handbag and the tubes are so cute. The cream itself is so moisturising and quite thick but soaks in really well.

I will continue to hunt down the best hand creams to recommend to you.

What hand creams do you recommend?

Thank you for reading as always 😘

At Home Pamper Session

Good Afternoon and Happy Bank Holiday 😊

Hope you're well and keeping busy!

I'm doing another "At Home" blog post today to show you one of the things I do to try and keep busy and occupied in these weird times.

I love a good pamper as much as the next person. In fact I probably go a bit over the top 😁 I go all out on the bubble bath, face mask, hair mask, pore strips etc.

The first thing I do is choose a face mask and a hair mask. I have been loving those hair masks where you get a shower cap with them 😂 especially the Aussie ones. I then choose a face mask and for some reason I always think some sort of clay face mask always works best so I go between a few.  Depending on how my skin is I'll either use The Body Shop Tea Tree one or I'm loving the fun Revolution ones, I have the Strawberry Donut one. Once I have applied these I select a number of bathing products like a scrub, cleanser and wash and then run the bath. By the time I get into the bath my face mask has dried so I can remove it.

I'm going to be honest one of my worst downfalls is by the time I have had a bath I really can't be bothered to moisturise. I have so many different body butters and lotions but I just get lazy 😂 I try to use some of those bath pearls with the oil in to do half the job for me 😉

You don't need any fancy products to have an at home pamper just run a nice hot bath and some bubbles and lie back and relax. I find that it 100% de-stress and relaxes the body from feeling tense all day.

To finish the pamper off I listen to some relaxing music. I either use the apps Doze or Headspace. Headspace is such an amazing app, it has guided meditations and walk throughs to help with so many worries and anxiety.

What do you use to have a pamper at home? What do you recommend?

Thank you for reading.
