A Body Shop Addiction.....?

Where can I start......

The Body Shop for me is the best place to buy bath and skin products, simply because they use naturally sourced ingredients and are against animal testing. It all started one Christmas when I opened my presents to discover a gift set from the body shop. I had never previously used any of there products and couldn't wait to delve in and use them. I had a mini shower gel, body butter and a bath lily all strawberry fragranced. I instantly fell in love with the smell! My skin felt silky smooth and was moisturised to perfection. So ever since that day I have been an avid customer and can't walk past a shop without sneaking in.

Body Butters

The body butters are a must have. The tubs themselves go quite a long way as you only need to use a little. One thing that stands out when using these is that they do have a very strong smell which lasts on your skin for hours which is definitely is a bonus!! At £13.00 a tub it can seem quite expensive but the results speak for themselves. My skin feels soft and moisturised after using these and by using them each day it is constantly smooth and silky! At the moment I am using Cocoa Butter, Early Harvest Raspberry, Olive and HoneyMania. My favourite being the Early Harvest Raspberry.

Body Scrubs

The Body Scrubs are in a similar size tub to the body butter. Each scrub has its own individual texture, consistency and exfoliants. The Early Harvest Raspberry Scrub looks and smells like Jam! It is like smeering jam over yourself without the stickiness!! It contains what looks like Raspberry seeds which act as an exfoliater. HoneyMania Scrub has a more solid consistency with it being rougher and more firm to use. The Cocoa butter and Argan Oil Scrubs have a more thinner consistency like the Early Harvest Raspberry Scrub but still work in the same way. These are great for exfoliating the body and preparing it for moisturising. These are £13.00 each some are a little more depending on fragrance.

Shower and Bath Gels/Cremes

The shower gels and bath cremes and definitely value for money. They quite regularly have an offer on for 4 for £10.00. They come in all the same fragrances as the scrubs/butters/perfumes. I use them more as a shower gel but they can equally be used as a bubble bath. As with there other products these too have a smell that lingers on your skin afterwards.

Hair Care

If you read my previous post you would know that I am a avid fan of Lee Stafford hair products. I do occasionally try others but tend to buy the little travel sized bottles. The vody shop have an array of different hair care products for different needs.
 

The yellow bottles are for moisture recommended for dry hair. Personally I'm not fond of the smell of this one, it contains pracaxi oil, manketti nut oil and Fair Trade Honey. But it does do what it says, I felt the difference in my hair after one wash using the shampoo and conditioner. The hair mask in conjuction with the shampoo and conditioner also made a difference.

The purple bottle are the radiance recommended for coloured hair. Now this one has a lovely smell containing pracaxi oil, bilberry extract and linseed oil. After using these products I noticed my hair was softer and smoother. 

Both of the products above left a lingering fragrance in my hair.

HoneyMania Bath Melt

This product is a perfect companion to use with the body butters and scrubs especially the HoneyMania ones. It can be quite tricky to get out of the tub but I use a desert spoon as if I am getting real honey out of a jar! One spoon is enough in a bath for bubbles and the fragrance to start filling the room. At £8.00 it is a bit costly for a bubble bath but it isn't just any bubble bath and by using one spoon it does last a long time.

Vitamin E Face Care


The vitamin E face care range is quite vast including moisturisers, lip balms, face mists and body butter. I use the following:
 

Sink In Moisture Mask: I use this once a week. It's easy to apply and drys within minutes.

Facial Oil/ Cleanser and Intense Moisturiser: I use a minimal amount of these before I go to bed to allow them to work and sink into the skin during the night. 

I definitely notice a difference when using these. My skin feels firmer and more moisturised.

So thats my collection. I know that this will grow ever bigger soon. I can't resist it!!!!
