Models Own are probably my safe brand of nail varnish because I know I can rely on them and any of there nail varnishes are always good, dry fast, no bubbles and most importantly look great.
So today I am using the Microdots topper for your nails. I love a good topcoat anything to just make them look a bit more special.
Even to just look at it in the bottle is good enough but to actually have this on my nails is one step better. It is a clear varnish with yellow, dark blue, light blue, red and orange hexagons. I think from a far they look just like dots hence the name. I guess you can just paint it on so they are in a random pattern on your nail but I wanted to place mine on individually.
I used a Models Own Dotting Tool as can be seen below. I just held the lid in the hand I was painting and used the dotting tool to carefully place individual dots onto my nails. It did take quite a while but I ended up with exactly what I wanted.
I think nearly any base coat colour would be ok because of the different array of coloured dots. I went for Barry M number 432 in Blueberry Gelly High Shine. I applied two even coats and made sure it was nearly completely dry because of applying a tiny bit of pressure when adding the dots.
Don't Forget - Use a base and top coat to ensure your varnish stays on and is chip resistant for as long as possible.
Soooo this is the outcome... I think it looks great and perfect the spring/summer.
I am very pleased with the outcome and only £4.99 a bottle is a bargain really.
Have you tried this topcoat or what topcoats do you use to add that little something to your nails?
Thank you for reading
xoxo
