My Evening Routine - Beauty Edition

Hello!!

I have never done a post like this before so thought it would be quite fun to go through what I products I use and how I get my skin ready for bed :) I do change this up a lot but this is what I currently using.

Firstly I come home from work and if I know I'm not going out, the first thing I want to do is take all my make up off and have a clear face.

Initially I do use a simple face wipe to get most of it off but then I use the Soap and Glory Total Drama Clean make up remover on a cotton pad and just gently wipe this over my face to remove and residue that was left from the face wipe. I do really like this product as it totally clears any make up of my skin and makes it feel very fresh. As I use waterproof eye make up, I like to use a remover which I know will remove it all of my skin. The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye and Lip Make Up Remover is my all time favourite. It removes my eyeliner so easily and isn't harsh on the skin either.

So once my skin is totally clear with no traces of any make up, I will use a face wash or a scrub to get rid of anything else. I do tend to use a scrub most days and depending on the condition of my skin, I'll use a different scrub. The No 7 one and The Body Shop one aren't harsh scrubs, they're more of a creamy scrub with exfoliating beads so if my skin is doing well I tend to use one of those. But if my skin is feeling like a breakout or just needs a bit of TLC I use the Garnier one because it deeply cleanses and cleans out the pores and removes any dead skin cells. I do use the Garnier at least once  week to keep any breakouts at bay.

After all that is done, I've been applying a bit of Bio Oil to any scars from the teenage years . I only use this if my skin is being quite good which it has been lately. I've been doing this for about 3 months now and can totally see the different in my skin, scars have faded and makeup sits better on them. A bottle of Bio Oil goes a long way, you only need to use the smallest amount.

I leave my skin for a couple of hours until I'm actually going to go to bed.

I then apply my faithful moisturiser, again it depends on how my skin is but at the moment I've been using the Garnier Pure Active or Skin Active Moisturisers which I am really loving at the moment. Not one breakout in the past 2 months *touch wood* but they are amazing. they contain Salicylic Acid which is the main ingredient to help with hormonal breakouts which mine usually are.

Finally I like to put a lip balm or cream on to leave to sink in over night. I've been loving the Malin and Goetz Lip Moisturiser. It sinks in over night and then my lips feel really soft and moisturised in the morning. Defintely a good one to use when the weather has been so cold and windy.

What products do you use in your evening routine?

Have you tried any of the products above?

Thank you fro reading.

  1. I absolutely swear by Bio Oil and have also been using it for a few months on scars and things. Even my boyfriend has noticed a difference so that's when you know a product is working! :) x
